Day 1 – Tajikistan → Kunduz

Cross into northern Afghanistan and drive to Kunduz, a vibrant trade city surrounded by fertile farmlands. Enjoy your first taste of Afghan hospitality and cuisine.

Note: Sometimes the visa will not be issued on the same day. Therefore, you may have to stay one night in Sher-Khan Bandar.

Day 2 – Kunduz → Faizabad
Distance: 220 km | Elevation: 350 → 1,200 m | Travel time: 5–7 hrs
Journey through scenic Baghlan and Badakhshan, passing rivers, villages, and mountain views along the Kokcha Valley.

Day 3 – Faizabad → Ishkashim

Drive to Ishkashim, the gateway to the Wakhan Corridor. Explore the border market, meet local artisans, and enjoy stunning river views.

Day 4 – Ishkashim → Kapkot Village

Follow the Panj River through lush valleys. Visit Chashma Shalak hot springs before arriving in Kapkot Village.

Day 5 – Kapkot Village → Sarhad-e-Broghil

Drive to the end of the road — Sarhad-e-Broghil, where the mighty Pamir Mountains rise dramatically.

Day 6 – Sarhad-e-Broghil → Baharak

Day 7 – Baharak → Langar

Day 9 – Khashgoz → Lake Chaqmaqtin

Reach the legendary Lake Chaqmaqtin, the source of the Amu Darya (Oxus River). Enjoy the serenity of this sacred place.

Day 10 – Rest Day at Lake Chaqmaqtin
